Recent events led me to a hypothetical case concerning disclosure and recusal. Suppose a school board is sued because a music program in one of its schools is accused of discriminating on the basis of sex. The presiding judge in the case has a daughter attending the school in question. Must she disclose this? Under what circumstances must she recuse? If she fails to disclose and a judgment is entered, must the judgment be vacated?
